If a new image is to be believed, it looks like we now know what kind of devices will be coming down the pipeline from Huawei in 2018. The image details several handsets and also devices.
Although we don’t know exactly what is coming down the pipeline from smartphone manufacturers, there are certain releases that come around every year like clockwork. According to a new leak, it looks like we could be getting a detailed look at what might be released from Huawei in 2018.
The alleged roadmap for Huawei has found its way online, showing off quite a few handsets and other devices that will arrive throughout the upcoming year. Although there isn’t an exact date for each product shown, it looks like Q1 will be quite busy.
If the above image is correct, the Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 lite will be announced in Q1. While these have already seen announcements, the roadmap could indicate further expansion of the product to other regions. There is also mention of an Honor device, along with a Maya and Salina, which are most likely codenames for two other smartphones. In the same quarter, it looks like the firm will also announce at some point a scale and a 360-degree camera.
During Q2, it looks like the firm is set to launch three P-series devices, shown in the image as the P, P Plus and P lite. At the beginning of the month, it was leaked that Huawei could be prepping a P11 handset with a 40MP main camera and a 24MP front-facing camera. These new P-series handsets could be announced as early as February during Mobile World Congress.
While Q3 looks pretty sparse with a sole Honor handset, Q4 could see the arrival of the successor to the Mate 10. Again, things could always change, but a majority of the major handset announcements seem to line up with announcements we have seen in the past from the company. With CES 2018 only a couple weeks away, we will indeed be able to see whether this roadmap is at least partially correct.
