PORT ST. LUCIE — Federal officials announced Thursday that a city man was sentenced to life in prison in connection with child pornography-related charges, a release states.
Scott Joseph Trader, 32, pleaded guilty to crimes including enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, distribution of material containing visual depictions of sexual exploitation of minors, possession of matter containing visual depictions of sexual exploitation of minors and production of material containing visual depictions of sexual exploitation of minors, the Department of Justice release states.
Records show over a period of years Trader recorded himself sexually abusing two girls in his care and coerced victims online to send him child pornography using social media.
Trader also gathered large amounts of child porn from the internet and distributed child porn.
