The Last Jedi DLC released today in Star Wars Battlefront 2 update 1.0 and here’s the full patch notes and changes.
The Last Jedi DLC released today in Star Wars Battlefront 2 patch 1.0. According to the patch notes, in addition to the new content, there have been a ton of balance changes and the second and third Star Card slots are now unlocked for all classes from the beginning. Battlefront 2 Update 1.0 also adds the final missions of the campaign, which complete Iden Versio’s storyline and lead into The Last Jedi .
The new Battlefront 2 The Last Jedi update brings two new heroes, a new hero ship, one Galactic Assault map, and one Starfighter Assault map.
Finn is a new hero for the Resistance. He’s an ex-Stormtrooper and uses a blaster to fight.
The First Order gets a new hero in Captain Phasma. The patch description says „few are more feared“ than the chrome-plated Stormtrooper, so hopefully her performance in-game is better than it was in The Force Awakens.
On Crait, the new Galactic Assault map, the Resistance will work to take down a First Order AT-M6. It’s a snowy planet, so the Resistance will make use of ski-speeders while attempting to destroy the walker.
D’Qar servers as the home base of the Resistance and comes under siege by a First Order fleet. Resistance forces will have to attempt to repel the First Order fleet by taking to space with this new Starfighter Assault map.
The way Star Wars Battlefront 2 handles its power-up system, Star Cards, has been under fire since day one. DICE has made some changes to help level the playing field between new players and veterans, and this latest one is one of the biggest.
With patch 1.0 all Trooper classes now start with all three Star Card slots unlocked. Furthermore, everyone will receive three common Star Cards to fill in those opened slots. This means new players can get a leg up and start customizing their characters early on instead of just hoping to get a high enough Star Card level to unlock all three slots.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 patch 1.0 is a pretty sizable update compared to previous ones since it contains The Last Jedi DLC. On PS4, PC, and Xbox One you’ll find it’s around 10 GB.
