Just as it had promised, Taiwanese PC hardware and smartphone maker ASUS has started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the ZenFone 4 series. Currently, the Oreo update is only available for one device – the ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL). The update arrives as version V15.0405.1711.76 for the smartphone and is currently being rolled out via the OTA route. It is likely to take around a week or so for the autopush to be completed, so you should try looking for the update manually by going to Settings > About > System Update. However, do note that your ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL) will need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network to download the update. And since it is a major update, it might take a few weeks before it becomes available for all ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL) units.
