Brandon Griesemer, 19, was arrested Monday after making 22 threatening calls to the network.
President Donald Trump lashed out at CNN’s Jim Acosta in a tweet early Tuesday, labeling the White House reporter “Crazy Jim Acosta of Fake News CNN.”
Even Crazy Jim Acosta of Fake News CNN agrees: “Trump World and WH sources dancing in end zone: Trump wins again… Schumer and Dems caved…gambled and lost.” Thank you for your honesty Jim!

CNN has regularly drawn the ire of the president for its coverage of his administration, but Trump’s latest attack comes just one day after a Michigan man was arrested for threatening violence against the same network.
Brandon Griesemer, 19, was arrested Monday after making 22 calls to the network, with numerous references to the same “fake news” label often used by the president, WGCL in Atlanta reported.
“Fake news. I’m coming to gun you all down,” Griesemer said in one call.
Griesemer continued to threaten the network in multiple phone calls:
He then called again, saying “I’m smarter than you. More powerful than you. I have more guns than you. More manpower. Your cast is about to get gunned down in a matter of hours.”
Griesemer continued, “I am coming to Georgia right now to go to the CNN headquarters to f—-ing gun every single last one of you.”
“We take any threats to CNN employees or workplaces, around the world, extremely seriously. This one is no exception. We have been in touch with local and federal law enforcement throughout, and have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of our people,” the news network said in a statement in response to the arrest.
Trump has drawn frequent criticism for the rhetoric he directs toward the press. Last February, Trump labeled The New York Times, NBC News, ABC News, CBS News, and CNN as “the enemy of the America people.”
