Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse said three officers were shot, including a Harrisburg cop. He didn’t specify if the U. S. Marshal was included in the count. The U. S. marshal kicked the bucket at the hospital, PennLive.com announced.
“Harrisburg mourns the loss at the beginning of today of a U. S. Marshal who kicked the bucket ensuring our residents. While serving a warrant as a feature of the U. S. Marshal’s task constrain, three officers were shot, including a Harrisburg cop, who was wounded,” Papenfuse said in the statement.
The mayor included the Harrisburg officer “boldly returned discharge and fundamentally injured the gunman.” Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo said in a before news meeting that there is no risk to the public.
Chardo said there was a “use of power” in the episode.
