Individuals close to Kelly and the president told ABC News that the chief of staff has „made it clear“ over the past 24 hours that he would be willing to step down.
This report comes hours after reports that Trump was considering options for replacing Kelly.
Porter resigned Wednesday after it was revealed that his two ex-wives accused him of domestic abuse. Kelly has been under fire for his handling of the information, and was reportedly aware of the abuse months before it was reported.
