Vampyr gets an official release date in Dontnod’s latest development episode. Vampyr release date is set for June 5,2018, on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
We already knew that Dontnod Entertainment’s Vampyr release date was pushed to Spring 2018 due to technical issues but only a release window was stated at the time. Now, the game gets an official launch date in the company’s latest Vampyr development episode, due on June 5.
Dontnod Presents episodic dev blog concluded yesterday with the fourth installment in the video series about the making of the title. Dontnod Presents Vampyr – Episode IV: Stories from the Dark reveals not only more exclusive gameplay footage and developer talking about the game but also its release date. As revealed by the episode, Vampyr will be releasing on June 5,2018.
Furthermore, this episode was dedicated to the story of Vampyr and how the Parisian studio builds a narrative with the player at the center. DONTNOD explains the importance of story-telling and immersion in their titles. Game Director Philippe Moreau elaborates, saying that the relationship between a player and their character, as well as the direct feeling of control, is unique to games and something he has worked to make special in Vampyr.

In related news, speaking with MCVUK, Cédric Lagarrigue, president of publisher Focus Home Interactive confirmed that Vampyr will not receive any DLC as there is none planned. He added that Dontnod Entertainment already has plans for what they can do in the game’s universe.
Vampyr release date is set for June 5,2018, on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There will be more information about the game coming at a later date on Vampyr’s website.
