Players who own the Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition will be getting a Dark Souls Remastered discount that gives them 50 percent off on the upcoming game.
PC gamers that own the Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition on PC are in for some good news if they’re planning on buying the remastered version of Dark Souls. The Dark Souls Remastered discount will allow those sorts of players to get the remastered edition of Dark Souls for 50 percent off.
Dark Souls: Prepare To Die edition was the PC version of the original Dark Souls, which was released for that platform in 2012. While at first the game was criticized for being a bad port, with bad keyboard and mouse controls, a 30-frames per second framerate, and nonadjustable resolution, but the game was quickly fixed.
Since then the other Dark Souls games were released on PC by default, though they’ve both had their own share of problems on release (such as the PC version of Dark Souls 3 causing the game to crash by using the game’s very first bonfire) though they’ve still been very good ports.
Dark Souls Remastered, however, promises to be everything that Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition was and more. With the Dark Souls Remastered discount, you’ll get cheaper access to the vanilla game, which comes with remappable buttons, a higher resolution, better matchmaking, increased party space online, an arena mode, and a variety of other changes, along with the Artorias of the Abyss DLC.
That means you’ll get the complete Dark Souls experience, along with a number of extra additions and changes that both make the game easier to play and more enjoyable.
The Dark Souls Remastered version will be coming out on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, but the Dark Souls Remastered discount will only be applicable on the PC, so if you have the PC version and you want to see what all has changed with Dark Souls Remastered, lucky you! Dark Souls Remastered will be releasing on May 25.
