A Houston woman faces more charges in connection with a shooting that went viral in a Facebook Live video and left her friend in critical condition, according to police.
Cassandra Damper, 25, was initially charged with tampering or fabricating of evidence in the Easter Sunday incident that put 26-year-old Devyn Holmes in the hospital.
Prosecutors announced Wednesday that a charge of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury has also been filed against her, news station KHOU reported .
Houston Police said Holmes was with Damper and another man in a car when she started pointing a gun at the camera.
In the chilling video, Holmes was seen trying to stop Damper from waving the firearm around in the parked vehicle.
“You’re making me nervous,” Holmes said in the footage.
“It ain’t got no clip, bud,” said the other man, who was not identified.
But seconds later, a bullet was fired and struck the 26-year-old, authorities said.
Holmes was rushed to the hospital where he is fighting for his life.
Officials said even more charges could be forthcoming.
