LG is all set to launch its flagship smartphone, the LG G7 ThinQ, on May 2nd in New York. Rumours indicate the handset will first be available in Korea, the day following the official release. While we already know much about the device, like its specs sheet and its appearance, what we now have to share is the official press render of the handset itself, which has been revealed by legendary leakster @evleaks.
From the above picture press image, we can see the device in its full glory, offering a closer look at its iPhone X like notched style display. Furthermore, we also can see the vertical dual camera setup on the rear, a 3.5mm audio jack, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and the G7 ThinQ branding. Along with the power button and volume rocker buttons, we also can see a new button on the left side of the handset. This new button might be the one that allows you to activate Google Assistant, going by latest reports.
AS for the known specs of the device, it is said that the G7 ThinQ will sport a taller 6-inch RGBW OLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone will also have the iPhone X style notch as well, a trend that has been adopted by many of Android OEMs in recent times. Under the hood, the smartphone is supposed to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC, and it might come packed with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Possibly these RAM options will offer 64GB or 128GB internal storage, and the phone will most likely offer support for memory expansion, via microSD card. The software details are scarce at the moment, but we can expect the G7 ThinQ to run an Android Oreo-based LG UI on the first boot.

The handset will feature a dual rear-facing camera, with both sensors believed to be of 16-megapixel resolution. The rear shooter is also supposed to offer phase-detection autofocus, optical image stabilisation (OIS), and 4K video recording capabilities. On the other hand, the selfies and video calling could be handled by an 8-megapixel wide angle lens. Last but not least, the smartphone could pack a 3000mAh battery that no doubt will have fast charging support, and might also come with the option of wireless charging as well.
As of now, these are the only details we have on the LG G7 ThinQ. We recommend you watch this space for more details, as we will be reporting the pricing, availability and the specifications of the device as and when it goes official on May 2nd. Stay tuned!
