‘Days of Our Lives’ took home five awards Sunday night
The big winners at Sunday night’s Daytime Emmy Awards were “Days of Our Lives” with five trophies. “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless” took home two awards each. For the second year in a row, “Good Morning America” won best morning program and “The Talk” took home the talk show entertainment award. Steve Harvey, Wayne Brady and Lidia Bastianich took home hosting awards for their various shows.
New Jersey native Danny DeVito has been honored with his own day by Asbury Park, his hometown. The film and television star, 73, was honored over the weekend when the Asbury Park City Council declared that his birthday, Nov. 17, would be known as “Danny DeVito Day.”
Grammy Award-winning pop duo A Great Big World will headline the entertainment stage June 2 at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix on Belle Isle.
