The Honor 7A falls under the category of phones that offers more than what you are actually spending on. The smartphone recently had a sale on Flipkart, which has been completed but those who missed out do not have to be upset. There is another sale that will be coming forth but unfortunately, it is not going to be held this month.
The good news is that the upcoming sale will be hosted in just a week from today so before you know it, you will be unboxing your very own Honor 7A.
Just like last time, the Honor 7A will be going on sale in India for the second time at 12 PM on Flipkart, on the 5th of June. Those who did not get a chance to purchase the affordable smartphone will certainly be eyeing it this time around. If the Honor 7A was not up to the mark, then you should check out the Honor 7C to see if it fits your budget, along with other requirements.
As for the offers, Flipkart and Honor have formed a partnership to offer buyers things like No Cost EMI with HDFC Bank Credit Cards and Bajaj Finserv EMI Cards. Flipkart has also partnered with Reliance Jio to offer Rs. 2200 cashback to customers with 44 months validity and an additional 50GB of 4G data packets. The price of the Honor 7A is Rs. 8,999 and comes in the colors Black, Gold, and Blue.
The Honor 7A has a 5.7-inch display with a 1440 x 720 HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is very surprising that the smartphone does not feature a chipset from HiSilicon but from Qualcomm instead. The Honor 7A is running a Snapdragon 430, with an octa-core processor running at a speed of 1.5GHz. The GPU running in the chipset is an Adreno 505. There is only going to be one Honor 7A variant going on sale in India and that is the one that features 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. For further storage expansion, the smartphone comes with a dedicated microSD card slot.
This variant also comes with a dual-camera setup at the rear. The primary sensor is 13MP, and a secondary sensor is a 2MP unit that is used to capture depth information. The secondary camera lens is not a telephoto lens and therefore, will not be able to optically zoom into images like high-end smartphones like the Galaxy S9 Plus and iPhone X.
However, for the price, the setup appears just fine. For selfies, the smartphone has an 8MP sensor at the front with features like Beauty Mode to enhance your selfies. There is also a soft LED flash at the front to light up your selfies when the environment is dark, so the feature is ideal for low-light conditions. There are two ways to unlock the Honor 7A in a convenient fashion. The first one is a Face Unlock feature, which is supported by the front camera while the back of the phone features a fingerprint sensor.
Wired and wireless connectivity sees the Honor 7A feature all the basics such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and 4G VoLTE. The battery capacity is a 3000mAh unit but the Honor 7A itself does not support fast charging. If you want to charge the battery faster, then you will need to purchase a high-end high-amperage third-party charging accessory.
Moving on to dimensions, the Honor 7A measures 152.4 x 73.7 x 7.8mm and weighs in at 150 grams. The phone is running the Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out of the box. Affordability is going to be a strong attribute of the smartphone and with the second sale starting on the 5th of June, you can expect the device to sell out in seconds.
