Woman killed in Osceola crash involving car hauler, troopers say

The pickup hit the back of the car hauler and traveled up the ramp, troopers said.
A New Mexico woman was killed after her pickup slammed into the back of a car hauler on Florida’s Turnpike Saturday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Shortly before 8:30 a.m., the 34-year-old woman, who hasn’t been publicly identified, was driving southbound on the Turnpike in Osceola County. In front of her, a car hauler was driving “significantly below the posted speed limit,” according to FHP Lt. Kim Montes.
The pickup hit the back of the car hauler and traveled up the ramp, troopers said.
The woman was killed. The driver of the car hauler, Juan Hernandez, 68, was not injured.
Troopers are investigating the crash.
