“A Star Is Born”? More like “A Star Is Reincarnated.”
The trailer for the new remake of the 1937 classic romance, in which Lady Gaga plays the title character, dropped Wednesday.
In it, Mother Monster dons her most controversial look yet — that of a normal human.
In the trailer, Gaga, 32, is seemingly stripped of makeup. Her hair is a realistic light brown and her eyes — while still striking — are sunken in. She’s like a rest-stop Scarlett Johansson.
The actress, who’s previously stepped out draped in flank steak and traveled by egg, shocked Twitter users with her normcore style.
“It took me a little bit to recognize her and I knew she was in it,” tweets Brian Taylor.
Twitter user Adriaan J. De Lange thought she was somebody else entirely.
“I didn’t recognize Lady Gaga, at 1st. Posh Spice, came too mind,” he writes.
But, never fear fans — her voice sounds just as you left it.
“A Star Is Born,” which is directed by and co-stars Bradley Cooper, comes to theaters Oct. 5.
