June 29 (UPI) — The Colombian national team had the world dancing again after it scored at the World Cup against Senegal.
Members of the squad were at it again during Colombia’s 1-0 win against Senegal in Group H on Thursday at Samara Arena in Samara, Russia. The Colombian’s netted the game’s only score in the 74th minute, when 6-foot-5 defender Yerry Mina sent in a header past Khadim N’Diaye.
Nearly the whole squad — with the exception of goalie David Ospina — sprinted to the sideline to look at fans in the stands. They then linked arms and sent a wave of rhythm onto one another before several players broke into solo dance performances.
This is far from the first time the Colombians have enjoyed a goal at the World Cup with a dance act. Members of the squad also flashed some moves after a Juan Cuadrado score against Poland in another Group H bout.
The squad previously performed the salsa at the 2014 World Cup. They advanced to the quarterfinals during that tournament.
Colombia’s next test comes against England in the round of 16 at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spartak Stadium in Moscow. Japan also advanced out of Group H and will face Belgium in the round of 16 at 2 p.m. Monday at Rostov Arena in Rostov-on-Don.
