The music video for XXXTentacion’s “SAD!” was released posthumously Thursday after his murder last week. And in the video, the later rapper is seen attending his own funeral and then fighting his resurrected dead body — to the death. XXXTentacion is credited with writing and directing the video himself.
XXXTentacion’s track jumped to No. 1 after he was killed in a drive-by shooting last week, making him the first solo artist to get a posthumous No. 1 since The Notorious B. I. G. (real name Christopher Wallace).

The captions throughout the video break down the now-haunting story, showing the rapper “killing” his old self. At the end, these words appear on the screen while XXXTentacion sits on a chair in contemplation, “You have done well at battling yourself. Your demon seems to honor your efforts. Are you satisfied?” Then it cuts to black.
On Wednesday, the Broward Sheriff identified a new person of interest in the shooting. The sheriff’s office said that homicide detectives are interested in talking to Robert Allen regarding the murder in a tweet. It did not say why it is interested in speaking to Allen, who is 22 years old.
Last week, the sheriff’s office arrested 22-year-old Dedrick D. Williams in connection to the rapper’s death and booked him on several charges, including first-degree murder, a probation violation for theft of a car and driving without a valid license.
