Blackberry is coming back.
Blackberry is coming back. BlackBerry is working on a flagship phone that it is making exclusively for the Indian market, as reports claim. The device in question is the BlackBerry Ghost. We have already come across several rumours and reports about the phone in the past. A new report coming from a trusted tipster Evan Blass brings information about the launch timeline of the BlackBerry Ghost and also some new specs details about the phone. BlackBerry Ghost is tipped to launch in India this summer.
Summer is already here. Meaning, the BlackBerry Ghost can launch anytime. Blass tweeted, „After nothing new on these BlackBerry Ghost handsets from Optiemus for awhile, finally hearing that a summer release is expected.“ BlackBerry, however, is yet to confirm the launch timeline of the BlackBerry Ghost.
Blass also revealed that BlackBerry Ghost will have the biggest battery setup found in any flagship device till date. „One more Ghost tidbit: it’s got a 4,000mAh battery, which would be one of the largest in a flagship-class device,“ Blass tweeted. BlackBerry phones have been known for its good battery life, similar was the case with its last phone — BlackBerry KeyOne. The BlackBerry Ghost is expected to be backed by a massive 4,000 mAh battery. Battery this big is rarely found in flagship phones. We have seen much massive batteries in only mid tiers phone segment. Hence, this probably will be BlackBerry Ghost’s selling point.
BlackBerry Ghost will be an India-exclusive device with which the company will try to gain back its long-lost market position.
Rumours say, the BlackBerry Ghost will be a bezel-less phone. The phone will come with a QWERTY keypad like other BlackBerry phones. Now that most flagship phones launching right now come with Snapdragon 845, chances could be Blackberry will also include Qualcomm’s latest chipset in Ghost. The BlackBerry phone is expected to sport dual cameras on the rear, and single sensor on the front. Following the current market trend, BlackBerry Ghost is expected to come with a display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
