In the race to rescue a Thai youth soccer team trapped in a cave before impending rain from a monsoon hits, Elon Musk is offering his help.
When a Twitter user asked Musk if there was any way he could help get those 12 Thailand boys and their coach to safety, the billionaire tweeted, “I suspect that the Thai govt has this under control, but I’m happy to help if there is a way to do so.”
The head of Tesla, SpaceX, and the Boring Company has helped in times of crisis before, using his solar technology to help restore power to Puerto Rico.
Back in Thailand, rescuers are drilling holes and installing pipes, trying to divert water so the boys won’t have to learn how to dive.
Adding to the danger, CNN is reporting, two of the boys and the coach are suffering with exhaustion from malnutrition.
The latest plan is to take the boys out in stages, fitting them with life jackets to float them out from that treacherous 2.9 mile-trek, where they’ve been trapped for nearly 2 weeks.
