Features included in latest updates The latest update of the YouTube Go app now allows users to browse downloaded videos (in .yt file format) in the phone’s gallery app. However, users will have to use the YouTube Go app to play them.
The feature is yet to go live and Google has confirmed that the feature will go live by the end of the year.
Talking about the Google Maps Go, Google has finally added the missing turn-by-turn navigation voice guidance. The voice guidance is available in more than 50 languages, however, users will have to add the language of their choice manually by downloading the
Navigation for Google Maps Go app from the Play Store.
Google Go app now gets the ability to read pages out loud by highlighting each word in the process. According to the company, the read-out loud feature will be available in 28 languages in coming weeks.
For those unaware, the Google Go apps are mainly focused on emerging markets. These apps are the lite version of their original apps designed to consume less data and storage.
The company has also launched the Go Edition of Android Oreo operating system for entry-level smartphones with 1GB or less RAM.
