Hyderabad: A 27-year-old man was killed on the spot and three others suffered simple injuries when the car in which they were returning from a wedding turned turtle on Pedda Golconda Outer Ring Road in Shamshabad mandal of Ranga Reddy district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Mallesh Yadav of Amberpet. Shamshabad SI S Suresh said five members were returning to Hyderabad in the ill-fated car from Ongole in Andhra Pradesh. He said all the five victims were photographers by profession. The victims had gone to Ongole on July 4 and were returning to Hyderabad on Saturday early hours. They were from the bridegroom’s side.
The person, who was at the steering wheel, was driving the car with high speed. When the car on the Pedda Amberpet ORR heading towards Gachibowli, the driver tried to apply brakes, but lost control and hit the road divider leading the car turned turtle. The remaining four members escaped with simple injuries and were admitted to a hospital. The body was sent to the Osmania General Hospital for post mortem. The Shadnagar police have registered a case under 304(A) cause of death due to negligence.(NSS)
