Samsung will be offering lucrative pre-order incentives including free smart TVs with the Galaxy Note9. Read to know more about the Galaxy Note8 successor.
With less than two weeks left before the official launch, the Galaxy Note9 posters have begun to pop-up at several places across the world, but overly enthusiastic Samsung Indonesian officials have released the price and pre-order offer details.
As per the posters, Samsung plans to bring Galaxy Note9 base model with 128GB for IR13,500,000 (approx. $937/€803/Rs 64,363) and also introduce top-end 512GB storage for IR13,500,000 (approx. $1,215/€1,040/Rs 83,433). The company will be offering free 32-inch or 40-inch smart TV free, respectively, provided they pre-book the device soon after the launch. It will be offered in Mystic Black, Blue and Copper Red.
The prices are way higher than the predecessor Galaxy Note8 launch price, but it can be noted that it was offered in 64GB storage and new models have bigger storage capacity and obviously newer and better internal hardware.
As per the information we have gathered so far, Samsung Galaxy Note9 will be coming with upgrades both in terms of design and system configuration.

Aforementioned leaked posters have shown that the upcoming phone has undergone minor but meaningful changes. It will retain the Infinity Display design as seen in the Galaxy Note9, but it comes with much slimmer bezels in the top and bottom. With this, the screen real estate on the front panel has been increased and will have more than 85% screen-to-body ratio. It is said to sport a slightly bigger 6.4-inch Wide Quad High Definition (WQHD) super AMOLED screen with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, improved sunlight readability. [Note: 2017-model has 6.3-inch screen]
On the rear-side, Samsung has trans-located the fingerprint sensor below the camera. This makes sense, as it will be easy for fingers access and also, most importantly, consumers will be less likely to touch the camera sensors, which was one of the nagging issues for the Galaxy Note8 owners and critics alike. It has the biometric sensor right beside the camera lens and many device owners touched it leaving sweaty smudges all over it. Now, this issue is unlikely to recur in the 2018-model.
Like previous years, depending on the region of sale, Galaxy Note9 will also be offered in two chipset variants. Devices, which will be shipped to US, China and South Korea will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor.
Samsung flagship phablet sold in India and Russia, among other global markets, will house an Exynos 9820 octa-core processor. Rest assured, both the variants will offer the same level of performance and would set a new benchmark in performance among Android phones.
The company is also said to have improved the ISOCELL technology for Galaxy Note9’s camera, in addition to enhanced Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and variable aperture (F1.5-F2.4) to capture high-quality pictures in low-light.
Rumour has it that the Galaxy Note9 128GB base variant will come in 6GB RAM and top-end model 512 GB will come with 8GB RAM. It will also come with a 4,000mAh battery, 700mAh (21-percent) more than the predecessor.
Also, the S Pen will have Bluetooth support, which would allow users to control music tracks, and volume on the phone, and many more functions, in addition to standard note-taking capabilities.
As far as the availability is concerned, Samsung is expected to open up Galaxy Note9 pre-order service in multiple global regions soon after the global unveiling on August 9. In India, the company is expected to host a local launch event and start taking orders for the Android phablet from August 19 onward and would be retailing the device for prices starting at around Rs 73,000.
