In August Samsung is tipped to launch a new wearable, but rather than the Tizen-powered Gear S4 we were expecting it could be a Galaxy Watch running Wear OS. Here’s what we know about the new Samsung smartwatch.
Samsung is known to be holding an Unpacked event on 9 August to unveil its Note 9, but a second new device could headline: the Samsung Galaxy Watch.
Well-known tipster Ice Universe has tweeted new details about the upcoming wearable, suggesting it won’t be a Gear S4 after all, and it won’t be running Tizen but Wear OS.
Other claimed specs include a 470mAh battery, a blood pressure monitor, new UX interactions and some sort of panel-level packaging that allows the main chip to be shrunk down and consume less space, allowing for a smaller battery or more space for internal tech.
We’ll bring you news on the imminent smartwatch as we hear it.
