Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to launch its latest Android One smartphones — Mi A2 and Mi A2 lite today.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is the successor of the last year launched Mi A1 smartphone. On the other hand, the Mi A2 Lite is expected to be the toned down version of the Mi A2. The USP of both the smartphones is that they run on stock Android and don’t come with company customised layer of UI — MIUI. As both the devices come under the Android One program, they will receive timely updates and security patches rolled out by Google. It is also said that the Xiaomi Mi A2 is the global variant of the Xiaomi Mi 6X which was launched in China last month.
As per the earlier reports, the Xiaomi mi A2 is said to come in two storage variants — 32GB and 64GB. The 4GB RAM and 32GB storage version is said to be priced at RON 1,288 (roughly Rs 22,200), while the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant is said to cost RON 1,424 (roughly Rs 24,600).
Talking about the Mi A2 Lite, the handset is also expected to come in two version — 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 3GB RAM version is said to be priced at 1,400 (roughly Rs 24,200, while the 4GB variant is said to cost 1,600 (roughly Rs 27,600).
As revealed by the earlier leaks and rumours, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is said Xiaomi Mi A2 is said to feature a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The smartphone is expected to come equipped with dual rear camera setup with 12MP and 20MP sensors. On the front, it is said to feature a 20MP sensor with artificial intelligence (AI) support. Backed by a 3010mAh battery, it is said to run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is expected to be powered by a 2GHz octa-core Cortex A53 Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. The display is a 5.84-inch IPS LCD one with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution and it’s got the notch. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery inside.
