On Saturday night, during the Los Angeles installment of her „Sweetener Sessions,“ Ariana Grande stopped singing mid-sentence — simply because a fan asked her to.
In a video posted on Twitter, once Grande began to sing „Raindrops (An Angel Cried),“ the fan in question can be heard yelling, „Wait, start again I wasn’t recording!“
Grande, who clearly takes fan requests seriously, took the outburst in stride.
„Did you say, ’start again I wasn’t recording?'“ she said, pointing into the crowd and laughing. „Someone said ’start again I wasn’t recording.‘ And I listen. I listen… Are you ready now? I’m sorry. That was funny. OK, are you ready?“
Grande then went on to sing the 38-second song in its entirety. And while her voice is always something to behold, her fans were more taken with the sweet interaction.
While some argued that the fan was rude to interrupt the song, Grande clearly didn’t mind.
Grande’s fourth studio album „Sweetener“ debuted at No. 1 on the chart last week, de-throning Travis Scott’s „Astroworld,“ which had claimed the top spot for two weeks straight.
