Here is the full lineup of this week’s new PlayStation Store releases for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
With 26 games coming to the PlayStation Store in the next week, it’s safe to say the fall release season is now underway. This week’s lineup is particularly strong, so here are a few recommendations.
Plausible Concept’s Bad North is a thrilling real-time tactics game that balances bucolic visuals with a growing sense of panic, and dread. It’s game design at its purest.
Video game design at its most intricate can be found in another of this week’s releases, Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition. Ported to console with finesse, this engrossing RPG from Larian Studios is of the highest calibre, with a rich story, and exemplary production values.
Another game with a rich atmosphere to absorb is Yakuza Kiwami 2, a remake of second game in Sega’s Kazuma Kiryu saga.
Also released this week is Rebellion’s co-op adventure shooter, Strange Brigade, Failbetter’s Sunless Sea: Zubmariner Edition, and the earth swallowing indie favourite, Donut County .

The fourth free content expansion for Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight is out now on PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch.
Godmaster is billed as Hollow Knight ‘s biggest expansion yet, and includes new quests, characters, items, and more tough-as-nails boss battles. The update is completely free and available for the game on PC, Mac, Linux, and Nintendo Switch.
To mark its release, Hollow Knight is also getting a limited-time 34% discount on GOG, Steam, the Nintendo eShop, and the Humble Store .
Developer Team Cherry has been very generous with content for Hollow Knight since its release in early 2017. Post-launch content has included the Hidden Dreams, and Grimm Troupe expansions, plus the Lifeblood update, which added a raft of technical and gameplay improvements.
In partnership with Skybound Games, Hollow Knight will also be getting a physical release in early 2019 on Nintendo Switch, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game’s digital release on PS4 and Xbox is planned for later this year.

World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth tops 3.4 million worldwide sales on day of release.
Admit it, you’ve thought that World of Warcraft – Blizzard Entertainment’s long-running MMORPG – was coming to the end of its life at least once in the past year or ten? Yet, not only does the game continue, it’s also setting new records.
The latest expansion from Blizzard – Battle for Azeroth – was released last week, and sold more than 3.4 million copes on launch day.
According to Blizzard, the figures make it the fastest-selling World of Warcraft expansion ever, and also one of the fastest-selling PC games of all time. Wow.
Battle for Azeroth ‘s presence has certainly been felt on Twitter, with the race to reach the new 120 level cap peppering our feed in the days immediately after launch.
In a press statement, Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, says:
“Battle for Azeroth is a definitive chapter in the Horde and Alliance conflict at the heart of Warcraft, and it’s been thrilling to see players representing their factions in record numbers and embarking on their war campaigns—not to mention joining in ourselves. But the launch is just the beginning of this conflict. More epic content is coming to World of Warcraft in the weeks ahead, and we can’t wait for players to experience the full story as it unfolds over the course of the expansion.”
Upcoming content includes Stromgarde, the expansion’s first Warfront, a 20-player co-op battle for control of a stronghold located in the Arathi Highlands.
Battle for Azeroth ’s first raid, Uldir, will also arrive next month, along with the first PvP season, and first Mythic Keystone dungeon season.
