Though the recently released iPhones may look like it has been inspired primarily by last year’s iPhone X, you will discover a lot of changes if you dig deeper. The changes are paramount in the flagship smartphone iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max, letting you do things that you might not be able to do with the other iPhone models, even the ones running iOS 12. Sitting between the high priced iPhone Xs Max and the price friendly iPhone XR, the iPhone Xs gives you the best of both worlds.
Here are the top 10 drool-worthy features of the iPhone Xs:
Dual Camera: The iPhone Xs sports a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 12MP wide-angle angle lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, allowing you to take better pictures.
Stereo Playback: Apple has tweaked the speakers to provide a wider stereo sound. The sound is not just great but also louder than the previous generations of iPhones.
Longer Battery Life: The phone lasts a good 30 minutes longer than its predecessor, the iPhone X, and fast charging is also supported, enabling you to juice up the phone to up to 50 percent within 30 minutes.
Faster Face ID: The Face ID feature is now faster, thanks to the new hardware, a faster secure enclave and improved algorithms. The iOS 12 also provides the option of “secondary appearance,” enabling you to set up a second person as well.
Dual SIM: The phone supports a physical SIM card and an electronic one, allowing you to have two numbers. Apple went the extra mile to make a special version of the phone with an additional SIM tray for countries such as China where the eSIM function is not supported.
Larger Display: The phone sports a beautiful 5.8‑inch OLED display with a resolution of 2436 x 1125 that comes with a decent presentation. Thanks to a 60 percent greater dynamic range, the iPhone Xs is more colourful than the iPhone X.
Improved Water Resistance: Water and dust resistance have been improved from IP67 on iPhone X to IP68. This means that the phone can withstand water up to the depth of 1.5 metres for nearly 30 minutes. However, make sure you let the phone dry for at least five hours before charging it.
Improved Graphics and Gaming: The new A12 chip has a four-core GPU which is up to 50 percent faster, offering a better gaming experience. The games will also load faster and everything will work smoothly on the device.
Take Better Videos: With the iPhone Xs you can record high-quality 4K video at 60 (fps) frames per second and 1080p slow motion video at 240 fps. Keep in mind that back in 2017, the iPhone X was the first device, along with the remaining two devices to get 4K video recording support at 60 fps.
Better AR Experiences: Thanks to the next-gen Neural Engine inside the new A12 Bionic, you will be able to unlock new experiences for AR with the iPhone Xs as the augmented reality apps get a sizable boost. The phone will be able to load and scan experiences faster, enhancing the AR experience.
