A Fortnite season 6 promotion leaks, accidentally confirming the inclusion of pets and the addition of a new inflatable skin to the battle royale game.
Fortnite Season 6 is right around the corner, and Epic Games has chosen to slowly tease its fans after the short delay the season experienced. Now, players already know about the robotic Loot Llama DJ and the cowgirl coming to the battle royale game, but it seems another has leaked alongside what appears to be pets.
In the image below, players see full color player models of the aforementioned skins, but the third – on the right side – may seem a bit peculiar to some. This is because it looks like a default “no skin” model with an inflatable mount, but as usual, it’s not so simple with Fortnite. While this leak practically confirms the existence of pets by the dog on the llama’s back, it does not confirm a rideable mount.
Players should look closely and see that the third model has legs that pop out on the bottom, and not the inflatable legs many assume to be the character’s. These are actual legs coming through the inflatable llama. This would suggest that it is in fact a skin, and not a pet, which many may or may not like. Check it out below:
Of course, this skin that appears to be a living inflatable ties in with theme of a big party planned for Season 6, but there’s still plenty Fortnite players don’t know. For instance, we don’t yet know how Kevin the mystery cube ties into this party, or how this will influence the map. Nevertheless, Epic Games has delivered season after season with its battle royale game, so it’s likely to be interesting at the very least.
One big thing we do know coming to season 6 is PS4 and Xbox One Cross-play. It seems Sony has finally buckled on a longstanding complaint, and players will be able to enjoy this new feature throughout the coming season.
Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. An Android beta is currently underway.
