Art Thieves South shore punks Art Thieves are celebrating the release of their second album, “Russian Rats.” With a stacked bill that also includes Worcester rockers Michael Kane and The Morning Afters, Somerville trio Blood Built Empire, and local quartet Stemwinder, Agate said that this show will likely sell out soon. Sheer Mag Philly basement punks Sheer Mag have created an enormous buzz since last year’s release of their debut full-length, “Need to Feel Your Love.” Having played bigger rooms in previous trips to Boston, the band will surely fill up the modestly sized Great Scott, and Varriale said that’s happening fast. Kali Uchis Soul pop songwriter Kali Uchis has been touring and performing since 2012, producing popular singles like “Get Up.” She’s headlining her first Boston show since the release of her highly anticipated debut album, “Isolation,” and Gillis said that the hype has tickets moving quickly. Tigers Jaw Scranton emo rockers Tigers Jaw will tour to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their self-titled record. The momentous occasion calls for two consecutive shows at The Sinclair, and Varriale said they’re both nearing capacity. Bahamas Canadian rocker Afie Jurvanen has gained steady popularity performing under the name Bahamas since 2009. Riding the success of his fourth album, January’s “Earthtones,” Bahamas will headline The Paradise, and Gillis said the show is close to sold out. Elvis Costello and The Imposters British songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Elvis Costello is bringing his band The Imposters to Boston. Costello had to take some time away from touring due to illness, and he rarely performs in rooms as small as the Wang Theatre. It is for these reasons — and his enormous catalog of classics — that Gillis believes this show will sell out soon.
