New backwards compatible Valve games are available on the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility list, and are being enhanced for Xbox One X too.
Four different backwards compatible Valve games will now be available on the Xbox One starting today. Players who are fans of Valve will be able to grab Left 4 Dead and its sequel, Valve’s Orange Box, and Portal on their Xbox Ones either for a low price or free if they have the game.
While Valve is normally a PC developer (hence Steam), there are a number of games that they’ve produced that are also available on consoles, such as the Left 4 Dead games and Portal, plus the Orange Box, which includes Half-Life Two: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, and Portal.
Made even better, all of these backwards compatible Valve games are also being enhanced to run on the Xbox One X, allowing them to run at higher resolution and at nine times the pixel count, which will make already good-looking games look even better, so if you were somewhat annoyed by how dated some of Valve’s games looked, Xbox and Microsoft have your back.
These games will be meeting with 17 other backwards compatible Xbox One games that are being enhanced for the Xbox One X, which include games like Red Dead Redemption and Skate 3, two other games that have been particularly demanded by Xbox players, and one of which will be coming out in November with Red Dead Redemption 2.
So if you used to play the Left 4 Dead games on consoles and are looking for a good, fast-paced, and hectic game to play with your friends, the Left 4 Dead games are going to be right up your alley, especially if, hopefully, the games have all of their DLC working properly, or if you can still buy it off the store.
You can buy the new backwards compatible Valve games on the Xbox One for a low price, but if you still own the disks for each game you can play it for free, not to mention all of the other backwards compatibility games available on the list.
