Here are all of the possible challenges players will have to complete on the Ancient Rome-themed Zombies map IX in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and how to complete them.
The base game of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 features three separate Zombies experiences, though the headliner is arguably the Ancient Rome-themed map called IX. This map starts off in an gladiator-style arena, complete with fire traps, zombie tigers, and more. The starting arena area also has four different banners that players can interact with that randomly dole out nine challenges that can be completed in exchange for various rewards.
There are more than nine challenges total, so the challenges players get in any given match could be different. Regardless, completing all of the challenges in IX is no easy task, and it’s going to take particularly skilled Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players to complete them all.

Some of these challenges are fairly straightforward, but others are less so. For example, some players may not know how to get max crowd affinity. The best way to do that is to fight in the arena and keep killing zombies as quickly as possible so that the skeleton hand in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen is green, showing a thumbs up, and on fire.

Finally, catalyst transformations are when zombies are turning into one of three special zombies. Players that successfully stop zombies from completing this transformation will complete that particular challenge.
With these tips in mind, Black Ops 4 players should stand a far better shot at completing all nine challenges on IX.
