Katt Williams is in legal trouble yet again.
Less than a month after winning a Creative Arts Emmy for his guest appearance on the TV show „Atlanta,“ the comedian was arrested and charged with assault in Oregon.
Authorities say Williams, 47, assaulted a driver hired to pick him up from Portland International Airport following an argument over transporting the comedian and his dog. Williams was on his way to Nick Cannon’s „Wild ‚N Out“ comedy improv show Friday night.
The town car driver suffered minor injuries, according to Port of Portland police, including cuts to the face and swelling.
The „Great America“ star, whose real name is Micah Williams, was taken into custody Saturday after leaving in another vehicle. He was charged with assault in the fourth degree and an out-of-state warrant from Georgia.
As of Sunday, Williams remains in Multnomah County Jail. His arraignment is scheduled for Monday.
USA TODAY has reached out to Williams‘ representatives for comment.
This is not William’s first run in with the law. The stand-up comedian has been arrested at least a dozen times over the last decade, including an April 2016 incident where Williams was taken into custody after throwing a salt shaker at a restaurant employee.
