Church is back… again.
Film going audiences aren’t always happy about movies being remade — or even getting a reboot — as they often feel that Hollywood has lost all imagination. But, sometimes, said remakes or reboots turn out to be wholly worth it.
Stephen King’s horrifying novel was first published back in 1983, and was made into a feature film in 1988. It is regarded by many as a truly terrifying film, one that has become a cult classic as well as one of the best movies based on a King property to have ever been released.
In the film, a doctor and his family move to a new town in rural Maine — King’s own stomping grounds — and it is there that they learn of an ancient burial ground near their home. The family is stricken with incredible tragedy, and it leads to them making some dreadful choices that will come back to haunt them.
