This phone falls in the same category as the OnePlus 6, in the sense that it offers flagship specs at affordable price points. You get the trusty Snapdragon 845 CPU with the Adreno 630 GPU, and you also get options for 6GB or 8GB of RAM. You get three storage options of 64GB, 128GB or 256GB, but unlike the OP6, you can also expand that further with the use of a microSD card. The ASUS ZenFone 5Z ships with a 3,300mAh battery, and you can also enable various modes like Performance, Normal, Power Saving and Super Saving to enhance it further. Furthermore, the 5Z has been equipped with a dual-camera setup that makes both portrait effects as well as wide-angle shots possible.

With a starting price of Rs 20,999, it’s hard to believe that the POCO F1 packs such great hardware. Even its base model grabs 6GB of RAM, while all variants are powered by the flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset. The 6.1-inch display with a full HD+ resolution augments the gaming experience. The F1 runs MIUI 9.6 out of the box, but thanks to its own customised launcher, the interface feels very different to other devices running the same software. A 4,000mAh battery makes sure that you can score as many chicken dinners as you wish for.

The Play in the phone’s name makes it very clear that it’s aimed squarely at gamers. Thanks to its incorporation of Huawei’s Kirin 970 chipset, the Honor Play also gets the new GPU Turbo functionality, which boasts of increasing the phone’s performance by 60 percent, while decreasing the power consumption by 30 percent. As for the battery, the device sips juice from a 3,750mAh unit with support for fast charging.

Xiaomi’s second Android One device, the Mi A2 is a phone for all seasons. It’s got a great dual-camera setup at the back, a big display, smooth performance and a promise of quick software updates. At its heart is a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor and an Adreno 512 GPU. On offer is 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone features a 5.99-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels that’s protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5. The battery capacity of 3,000mAh might not inspire much confidence about its endurance however.

The Realme 2 Pro offers astonishing value for money. This device starts at Rs 13,990, yet delivers the power of the octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor that can be paired with 4-, 6- or 8GB of RAM, depending on how much more you’re willing to pay for that extra memory. While most devices these days are going for full-sized notches on their displays, this one has kept it at a minimal. The handset bears a tiny ‘Dewdrop’ notch that doesn’t take much away from its large 6.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels.
