The TUF Gaming laptops are powerful portable gaming machines with high-end hardware. The company has scheduled an event to unveil new models in India.
Asus has begun sending out invites to an event scheduled to take place this week. The company has confirmed it would launch, “a refreshed range of TUF series” in India. It is quite likely Asus may bring the recently launched TUF Gaming notebooks with high-end specifications and military grade certification.
Asus has scheduled an event on November 22. The event will take place in New Delhi. Although the company has clearly indicated it would launch new variants of laptops in the popular TUF series, it is not clear exactly which laptops will arrive in India. Still, based on the recent past, we can confidently speculate about the possible laptop models that Asus could launch in India.
Although Asus hasn’t officially confirmed which laptops belonging to the TUF series will launch in India, it is quite likely they would be the same notebooks that launched in Malaysia. Asus unveiled TUF Gaming FX505 and FX705 notebooks in Malaysia recently. The launch took place on October 22.
The FX505 and FX705 notebooks are powerful gaming oriented laptops that pack high-end hardware and some truly rare features. Although a mere speculation at this juncture, these are the primary models that Asus launched recently. Hence, let’s look at the specifications, features, and prices of the TUF Gaming FX505 and FX705 notebooks.
The TUF Gaming FX505 and FX705 sport the Republic of Gamers or ‘ROG’ badge. Asus reserves the ROB badge only for the no-compromise high-end gaming oriented devices. The most recent device to proudly wear the ROG emblem was the Asus ROG Phone.
The Asus TUF Gaming Series laptops feature backlit Full HD display, which Asus is calling the NanoEdge display probably because they sport just 6.5mm tiny bezels around the three sides. Interestingly, the FX505 and FX705 are the only laptops currently available commercially, to boast of displays with 144Hz refresh rate. Additionally, these are reportedly the only laptops with military grade certification that any average end user can buy.
The TUF Gaming FX505 features a 15-inch display. Meanwhile, the FX705 features a larger 17-inch display. The invite mentions, “Refreshed Range”. Asus might be hinting at the high refresh rate display.
Asus offers a choice between the latest Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The company has packed the powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series GPUs in these portable gaming machines. The laptops sport RGB-backlit keyboard. Asus insists the powerful cooling system with fan over-boost technology has been inspired from its desktop cooling range.
The new TUF Gaming Series laptops are available in Malaysia. The 15-inch TUF Gaming FX505 starts at an asking price of RM 3,699, which roughly translates to INR 63,000. The larger 17-inch TUF Gaming FX705 laptop starts at RM 4,999 or about INR 85,000.
If Asus is truly launching these very TUG Gaming laptops in India on November 22, it is quite likely the company may retain the pricing structure. Needless to mention, these prices are quite attractive compared to the much costlier options currently available in India.
