“Star Wars” and “Star Trek” guru J. Abrams is on the hunt for a Hollywood studio megadeal worth half a billion dollars, according to Variety.
The mag reports that Abrams is being courted by several studios for a deal that would encompass not just movies and TV series — but “digital content, music, games, consumer products and theme park opportunities.” The pact would be one usually reserved for filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg, whom Abrams considers a mentor.
Abrams, who won two Emmys for “Lost,” has current TV and film deals that are ending in the next two years.
