Capcom is adding three crossover Resident Evil costumes to Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition. Player can dress up as facsimiles of Ada Wong, Albert Wesker, and Jill Valentine for the first time in the fighting series.
Capcom is about to add some more Capcom to its premier fighting franchise. Just missing the Halloween season, the publisher has announced that three spooky costumes coming for Street Fighter 5. Not spooky like Ghosts and Goblins, but spooky as in Resident Evil, Capcom’s coveted horror series. Street Fighter 5 players will get a chance to dress up as Ada Wong, Jill Valentine, and Albert Wesker. All three Resident Evil costumes will become available on Steam and the PlayStation Store on November 27 for an undetermined price.
Cammy is putting on a pair of pants for once as she takes on franchise heroine Jill Valentine. This is the classic S. T. A. R. S. costume from the original games, not the mind controlled version seen in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Considering that both highly trained ladies typically work in uniform, it’s a good fit.
Kolin, a DLC character from Street Fighter 5 ‘s second season, takes on the role of Ada Wong. While this isn’t Ada’s famous red dress from her RE2 debut, it does change things up significantly from Kolin’s usual Russian inspired outfit. In any case, Kolin’s Systema moveset will fit in with Ada, even if her ice powers might not.
Urien goes from his mostly unclothed Street Fighter 3 appearance to the fully clothed trenchcoat of Albert Wesker. Both would probably get along considering their shared love for world dominating goals. However, I’ve also seen enough team-ups to know that they’d probably end up pointing a gun at one another by the end.
You can purchase each costume individually, although Capcom hasn’t revealed a price yet. If it matches up with past releases, the new Resident Evil suits will be $4 a pop. I’d make some sort of “master of unlocking” joke, but the trailer’s YouTube description already beat me to it. You can check out said trailer below.
