There’s a great deal on the PS4 this Black Friday, and it’s already live. Get it before it sells out.

Black Friday is still a few days off, but things have a way of getting moving early sometimes. That’s been the case with scattered sales at places like Dell and eBay as well as deals through Microsoft, but here’s one that’s a little more wide-reaching than what we’ve seen before. One of the best deals for this Black Friday is going to be a 1 TB slim PlayStation 4 with Spider-Man for $199.99, and it’s going live at multiple retailers now. So need to wait for Black Friday if you want it: actually, given past experience, I’m not positive that it’s going to even last until Black Friday.
Here it is over at Amazon.
Bundle logic is always tough, especially in an era when it’s not necessary to buy either the Xbox One S or base PS4 without some sort of game in the mix. The actual price of the PS4 is more of a moving target than anything else, but something in the realm of $299.99 isn’t such a terrible place to be. Given that, this is about $100 off of the standard MSRP.
That’s a good price, and about as low as I’m going to expect things to be for a while. For that, you’re getting the hands-down winner of this console generation, with a deep, wide-ranging library of both first and third-party titles, one of which you’re getting as part of the bundle. This is even a decent deal if you’re an Xbox One owner looking to get your hands on games like Spider-Man, God of War, Bloodborne, the Uncharted series, or anything else from Sony’s impressive lineup of exclusives.
The PS4 is coming to the end of its lifecycle, but that’s no reason to avoid it. If you’ve waited this long to get a current-gen console you’re probably not the sort that needs the newest and shiniest thing anyways, and that patience tends to pay off handsomely in the world of video games. It means you get more, better games and the critical distance that allows you to avoid some stinkers. It means you get fewer buggy experiences at lower price points. It’s really sort of win-win.
If this is something that interests you, I’d jump on it soon.
