Last month, Google released the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Now, a new set of images has been posted online that shows off a lower tier model of the phone that even has a headphone jack.
Google revealed its Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL early last month. The announcement of the two phones came as no surprise, as the designs of the units had leaked for months prior and were even oddly available for sale from unofficial sources prior to its official release. With that said, there were rumors of three new Pixel models at some point and it now looks like the third has finally surfaced.
The folks at Rozetked have alleged images of the phone which is thought to be the codenamed „Sargo“ handset, meant to cater to those looking for a more budget-friendly Pixel experience. The design of the unit looks to be quite similar to that of the Pixel 3 but does not feature a metal and glass construction and instead is made from plastic.
The phone has an 18.5:9 5.5-inch 1080p display, makes use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 670 processor, which is paired with 4GB RAM. As far as internal storage goes, the device only has 32GB without room for expansion via microSD. Like its siblings, the unreleased smartphone makes use of a 12MP camera on the rear and an 8MP sensor on the front. According to the source, the camera quality is on par with that of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Perhaps one of the more interesting features is that it includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. Google has not included this port in its phones since the original Pixel and Pixel XL released in 2016. It is currently unknown when this model will launch but there is speculation that it will arrive sometime in the next six months and will be priced at around $400 to $500 USD.
