Xiaomi is opening another Authorised Mi Store in Malaysia and this time it’s in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, revealing the Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite.
The Mi 8 Pro has a 6.21-inch AMOLED full screen display that supports in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Similar with the Mi 8, the Mi 8 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 845 processor and but has a higher RAM of 8GB paired with 128GB storage. In terms of camera, the Mi 8 Pro holds dual AI camera with two 12MP lens with f/1.8 and f/2.4 apertures respectively whereas the front camera is of 20MP with f/2.0 aperture. There is also a 3000mAh built-in battery in the smartphone that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+.
On the other hand, the Mi 8 Lite has a bigger display which is a 6.26-inch FHD+ display that has a smaller notch than the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Pro. It lacks the in-display fingerprint sensor in the Mi 8 Pro but supports face unlock and has a fingerprint sensor on its back. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 660 AIE and comes in two variants; 4GB RAM with 64GB storage or 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. The Mi 8 Lite has a better front camera than the Mi 8 Pro whereby it sports a 24MP from camera with f/2.2 aperture while the dual rear camera is a pair of 12MP and 5MP lens. The phone has a 3350mAh battery which is right between the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Pro’s battery capacities and it supports Quick Charge 3.0.
The grand opening of the Authorised Mi Store this week will also offer exclusive deals and promotions, and its flagship store on Lazada will also be having a sale on the popular products such as the POCOPHONE F1, Redmi Note 5, several phone accessories and so on. The Mi 8 Pro comes in Transparent Titanium and costs RM 2399, which will be available tomorrow at all Authorised Mi Stores. The Mi 8 Lite’s 4GB+64GB variant costs RM 999 and will be available on 10 November for its official store on Shopee and on 11 November for its official store on Lazada. The second variant that is the 6GB+128GB costs RM 1,299 and will only be available at Authorised Mi Stores. The Mi 8 Lite comes in two colours, Aurora Blue and Midnight Black.
