Xiaomi is said to be working on introducing some new lineups in 2019 alongside launching the regular Redmi 7 series and the Mi A3 Android One phone. The Redmi Pro 2 will be a spiritual successor to the Redmi Pro.
The 48MP Xiaomi phone finally gets a name. A poster has been leaked which reveals that the smartphone will be called the Redmi Pro 2. Xiaomi, however, is yet to officially announce the name of the phone. Ahead of the January launch, the 48MP Xiaomi phone has been subjected to several leaks and rumours and all of them suggest that this will be the first phone from Xiaomi to come with a punch-hole display like the Honor View 20 or the Samsung Galaxy A8s.
Earlier this month Xiaomi President Lin Bin confirmed that the company will be launching a 48MP camera phone in January 2019. Although Bin didn’t reveal much details about the phone, rumours around the handset have started making rounds on the internet already. Some previously leaked rumours revealed that the 48MP Xiaomi phone will come with a punch-hole display, in simple words in-display selfie camera. The newly leaked poster alongside revealing the name of the phone — Redmi Pro 2– also confirms that the device will be powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset.
