The fire that nearly killed a man who crashed alongside a Texas highway last week was hot enough to melt parts of the body cameras that recorded his rescue, officials said.
The footage shows two Chambers County sheriff’s deputies, Braedon Boznango and Carlton Carrington, responding to a crash Thursday on State Highway 124, about 60 miles east of Houston.
They find the driver unconscious and engulfed in flames with his head against the steering wheel.
