Disney and AMC are inviting audiences to see Marvel Studios‘ Black Panther on the big screen in celebration of February’s Black History Month. The best part for moviegoers—the tickets are free for those who sign up. The groundbreaking superhero film, which was a 2018 international box office smash and has been racking up awards this year faster than you can say „Wakanda Forever!“ including the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) ensemble prize, also is up for seven Academy Awards this year, including Best Picture.
The action-packed film, starring Chadwick Boseman in the titular role of an African prince who rises to lead his remote yet technologically advanced kingdom while also becoming a superhero (a role which he originated in 2016’s „Captain America: Civil War“), is returning for a one-week engagement, February 1-7, at 250 participating AMC Theatres locations. To ensure that the movie is accessible to everyone, tickets are available for free, and there will be two showings each day at participating theaters.
