The 183 passengers stuck aboard Amtrak Coast Starlight Train 11 were finally able to exit the train Tuesday morning after a tedious 36+ hours. The Seattle-to-Los Angeles train was blocked by downed trees on the tracks in a remote part of Oregon Sunday night; the area had been hit with heavy snow, and had gotten 10 to 14 inches by Monday afternoon. There weren’t many hotels nearby, power in the area was spotty due to the storm, and roads were blocked by snow, KOIN reports.
