Even as the Trump administration tries to put a happy face on the aborted summit withKim Jong Un, North Korean officials are contradicting Trump’s version of events, and casting doubt on the future of the negotiations.
At his own press conference Thursday, Trump told reporters that Kim had demanded the lifting of all sanctions in exchange for the dismantling of some nuclear sites, and both he and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo both tried to cast the summit as “progress” toward a future deal.
