Samsung’s unpacked event revealed the final details for the Galaxy Watch Active and we’re going to stack it up against the Galaxy Watch to see which one is the best choice.
With the announcement of the Galaxy Watch Active last night, Samsung’s smartwatch portfolio is growing rapidly and getting better with every step, too. We’re going to compare it against the Galaxy Watch to see if the latest model is worth the buy.
These watches do look fairly similar for a technical perspective, but you can certainly see the design language change between generations here. Don’t forget that Samsung also announced the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy Fold last night, too!
The Galaxy Watch is available for £279/$329 for the 42mm model, with the 46mm being slightly more expensive at £299/£349 – you can find both here on Samsung’s website.
The Galaxy Watch Active was announced last night and is available for pre-order at £229/$199.99.
The price difference here is pretty striking considering the specs between the two models being reasonably similar, and the modern version is the cheapest too.
The design of a watch and even a smartwatch is doing to be fairly timeless so it’s a little difficult to innovate on the design in any massive way.
