The HP Reverb VR Headset offers two times the pixel density of the HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset, which offered 1,440-by-1,440 resolution. It also weighs about 40 percent less and comes with integrated headphones that sit on the sides.
HP has packed more pixels into its newest PC-based VR headset, which will feature a 2,160-by-2,160 screen resolution for each eye.
The HP Reverb VR Headset will launch at the end of April in two versions—a $599 one for consumers and another for working professionals; pricing for that has yet to be determined.
The product features a pair of LCD panels that double the pixel density from the company’s last VR product, the HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset, which offered 1,440-by-1,440 resolution.
