Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that the House would vote later in the day on a resolution condemning hate as Democrats try to move on from a controversy that has roiled the party and clouded their agenda.
“We’re working on a resolution. We’ll see when we bring it to the floor that we’ll again speak out against anti-Semitism, anti-Islamophobia, anti-white supremacy and all the forms that it takes. Our country has no place for this,” Pelosi said at her weekly press conference.
Majority Leader Steny Hoyer also announced the vote at a private morning meeting of House Democrats, according to a spokeswoman.
