Mortal Kombat 11 releases won’t be happening in Japan and Indonesia due to various censorship laws that would prevent it, unfortunately for fans there.
Despite a huge amount of hype in preparation for its release, Mortal Kombat 11 releases in Japan and Indonesia won’t be happening. This, unsurprisingly, is due to the huge amount of blood and violence in the game, which conflicts with laws in both of those countries and is thus preventing the game’s release.
The fact that Mortal Kombat 11 won’t be releasing in Japan is especially odd given that Japan allowed Mortal Kombat X to be released, making it seem like either some kind of double-standard, or a very inconsistent censorship board. These sorts of issues are a constant problem for the Mortal Kombat team.
