7-foot-2-inch tall actor portrayed Wookiee warrior in five
Peter Mayhew, the 7-foot-2-inch tall actor who portrayed Chewbacca in five “Star Wars” films, has died. He was 74.
Mayhew’s family posted the news of his death on his official Twitter account.
“The family of Peter Mayhew, with deep love and sadness, regrets to share the news that Peter has passed away. He left us the evening of April 30,2019 with his family by his side in his North Texas home,” the tweet read.
